Fulton County is pleased to announce that it has received five National Association of Counties (NACo) awards for outstanding programs in 2021. NACo recognizes efforts by local counties that promote effective and responsible county government programs and initiatives.
“We all know that this past year has been one of challenge not only for Fulton County, but our entire nation,” said Fulton County Manager Dick Anderson. “Receiving five awards from NACo demonstrates that our employees are determined to bring a dedicated and innovative spirit to the jobs they perform daily. The ultimate goal is to serve our residents. I am pleased to see the work of county being recognized.”
Fulton County was name the 2021 NACo winner in the following five areas:
- Civic Education and Public Information, for its public education and outreach during the COVID-19 Pandemic (Reimaging Public and Outreach in a COVID-19 World--Public Works)
- County Resiliency, for its work in providing and promoting strong Infrastructure, Energy and Sustainability (Fulton County Government Resilience-Bond Construction)
- County Resiliency, for its Modernization of the Little River Water Reclamation Facility
- Personnel Management: Success Factors Performance Management Tool
- Personnel Management: The Transition to Virtual Learning
