Drinking Water Week Facility Tour with Public Works

Public Works leaders will celebrate National Drinking Water Week May 3 – 9, 2026. The week-long observance will recognize the vital role water plays in our daily lives.

The Department of Public Works will recognize National Drinking Water Week, May 3 -9, 2026, by providing a behind the scenes look at how the County takes water from source to tap. Public Works will host a tour for the public at the Tom Lowe Atlanta Fulton County Water Treatment Plant in Johns Creek on Thursday, May 7. Homeschool students and families joining the tour are invited to stay afterward for a fun hands-on water filtration activity.
