At the beginning of 2023, the Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) established the groundbreaking Behavioral Health Network—a progressive continuum of care designed to deliver behavioral health services to residents of Fulton County. The Behavioral Health Network, representing a significant advancement, is committed to providing expanded access to high-quality, comprehensive services in alignment with national standards of "Best Practices." By leveraging this network, the Department of BHDD aims to address the needs of under-served communities, ensuring equitable access to top-tier behavioral health services for individuals of all ages, irrespective of income or insurance status. This innovative model has empowered Fulton County to establish a robust provider network, increase client outreach, diversify behavioral health program offerings, and achieve cost reduction.
Core Outpatient services, either in-person or telehealth, are offered at the following locations:

In order to qualify for services you must obtain a Waiver through the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). Depending on the services you need, you may qualify for a Comprehensive Supports Waiver (COMP) or New Options Waiver (NOW). An application must be completed with the DBHDD department along with supporting documentation of the developmental disability, which goes to the intake and evaluation office in your region. These forms can be located online or by contacting the region where you live. Once a determination has been made, a letter will be sent to you notifying you of your eligibility.
You will be given a provider’s list and can choose where you would like to receive services. We will assign a Support Coordinator to help you access services based on the needs of the individual. If you decide that you want an individual to attend one of the Fulton county training centers, you will be provided a tour of the facility as well as the opportunity to ask questions about the type of services that we provide to individuals in the program.
An interview will be scheduled to obtain information about the type of services that the individual will need to determine a match with appropriate services. A medical doctor will meet with the individual, family and/or caregiver to ensure that we are able to meet the mental, physical, and medical needs of the individual prior to acceptance into the program. The staff receives ongoing training in best practices to provide high quality and competent services and treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
