Fulton County hosted a presentation on Dementia Friends and Champions. Hear more from Dementia Friends Georgia Beth Cayce. This presentation allows us to train people how to be a dementia friend, how to interact with their loved one or someone in the workplace who may be living with dementia in a way that makes conversation easier. It makes greater awareness possible when someone's struggling with something. Make it a more personal, easy way to interact and to recognize that we need to walk in their shoes, and learn how to interact best with them. We want to be able to through the dementia friendly coalition to spread more information about resources and trainings, and have people within Fulton County become dementia champions so they can further grow the effort of awareness and training.
