Fulton County Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Hosts Drug Take Back Event

April 20, 2026
This event provides a free, anonymous opportunity for residents to dispose of unused or expired medications.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day was Saturday, April 25, and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) and its partners are providing residents with opportunities to get rid of all unused and expired medications.

Thursday, April 30
Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities & City of South Fulton
Prescription Drug Take Back Day
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Burdett Park
2945 Burdett Rd
South Fulton, GA 30349

The event and recognition of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day assists in curbing the addiction epidemic, as a significant portion of misused prescription drugs are obtained from home medicine cabinets. It also prevents environmental contamination from flushing medications.
