Fulton County Celebrates National Public Works Week

Fulton County Honors Public Works Professionals During National Public Works Week

May 04, 2026
National Public Works Week will be celebrated May 17-23, 2026.

National Public Works Week is May 17 – 23, 2026 and this year’s theme of “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community” serves as the foundation for the hundreds of Public Works professionals in Fulton County. To mark the observance, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners will present a proclamation to the Department of Public Works during its meeting on Wednesday, May 20.

The 2026 theme acknowledges that the roots of service run deep in public works. It propels the professionals to join innovation and dedication to create thriving communities, that powers connection between service and the people it supports.

“Communities may not take much notice of the dedication of public works professionals because they just quietly do their jobs without fanfare.” said Director of Public Works, David Clark. “Yet, public works is always there, working behind the scenes to respond to emergencies and to advance quality of life for all.”

Public Works will recognize the observance with the following activities:
