Fulton County 2026 Assessments Now Available Online
Fulton County’s 2026 Notices of Assessment are available online at www.fultonassessor.org. Notices have also been mailed to property owners.
As required by Georgia law, the Fulton County Board of Assessors issues an annual Notice of Assessment for every property, reflecting the property’s fair market value.
Property owners should carefully review their Notice of Assessment as soon as possible. Notices will also be made available online. Property owners are encouraged to verify their property characteristics and any exemptions for accuracy by visiting our website and selecting the Property Search tab.
If you believe the information on your Notice of Assessment is inaccurate, please contact the individual identified on the notice for assistance. Residents who do not have computer access may visit one of the Board of Assessors’ offices for assistance.
This year’s notices reflect changes in state law brought about by SB 566. Instead of showing an estimated rollback rate or tax liability, Notices of Assessment will show each taxpayer’s Estimated Tax Savings including applicable discounts and exemptions.
By law, property owners have a 45-day period to appeal their notice of assessment if they do not believe their notice reflects fair market value. The appeals deadline for most property owners is Friday, July 31, 2026, unless another date is specifically printed on the notice of assessment.
Appeals may be submitted online at www.fultonassessor.org by mail, or in the offices of the Board of Assessors.
Many Fulton County homeowners receive property tax relief through homestead exemptions.
Homeowners who owned their home as of January 1 and otherwise qualified for a homestead exemption for tax year 2026 but did not apply for a homestead exemption by the April 1 deadline can now do so during the appeal period. Homeowners who did not own their homes as of January 1 can apply now for the 2027 tax year.
Property assessments are one component used to calculate property tax bills. Each of the 18 taxing jurisdictions in Fulton County, including cities, school boards and Fulton County Government, will set its annual millage rate in coming weeks.
