Summer Arts Experience

Fulton County Arts and Culture and Library System Launch Summer Arts Experiences Program

Fulton County Arts & Culture, in partnership with the Fulton County Library System, is inviting residents of all ages to explore their creativity this summer through the Summer Arts Experiences Program, a series of free arts education classes offered at libraries across Fulton County.

The program features hands-on instruction in music, drawing, and mixed media art, providing opportunities for youth, teens, and adults to learn new skills, express themselves creatively, and engage with the arts in a welcoming community setting.

Program Locations and Offerings

Metropolitan Library
1332 Metropolitan Parkway SW, Atlanta, GA 30310
Mondays, June 15 – July 27

10 a.m. – 10:55 a.m. – Ukulele (Youth ages 8-12)
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Ukulele (Adults and Teens ages 15 and up)
No Adult/Teen class on June 22

Participants will explore the ukulele in a group setting while learning basic music theory, finger exercises, and chords. Ukuleles will be provided for classroom use.

Wednesdays, June 17 – July 29
Mixed Media Art (Youth ages 6 and up)
Students will participate in a variety of art activities designed to encourage creativity and artistic exploration. Supplies will be provided.

Fairburn Library

Tuesdays, June 23 – July 21

11 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Drawing for Adults
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Mixed Media Art (Youth ages 6 and up)

Adult participants will examine drawing as a developmental process while reflecting on the images they create. Youth classes will feature a variety of mixed media art activities. Supplies will be provided.

East Point Library

Thursdays, June 25 – July 30

11 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Drawing for Adults
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Mixed Media Art (Youth ages 5-12)
