After experiencing the FIFA World Cup in Atlanta, Atlanta-Fulton County EMA is preparing for future large-scale events. Hear more from Fulton Director Emergency Management Joe Barasoain. We've been planning for this experience I would say almost two years. So to see it come alive, it's a pretty big accomplishment. The team's been working almost 40 days straight. So it's been a little interesting time to stay motivated and keep the employees on the team going at 100 miles an hour every day is tough. The biggest challenge has been how much work load has been on the employees and just really how we've dealt with situations successfully. We look at how we've dealt with certain situations, and we look at how we prepare for future events. This has been a really good groundbreaker for us for sure. We've seen our share of events here at the county for sure. Strong takeaways for us is making sure that we really do a good job planning for the event making sure that our partner agencies are on board with us.
