Fulton County Commissioner Bridget Thorne Appointed to Several NACo Committees
Fulton County Commissioner Bridget Thorne of District 1 has once again been selected by National Association of Counties (NACo) President George Dunlap to serve on three important committees that will assist in shaping national policies.
Commissioner Thorne has been re-appointed to serve on the following committees:
- Community, Economic and Workforce Development Policy Steering Committee
- International Economic Development Innovation Council
- Large Urban County Caucus
“I am honored to join fellow county leaders in shaping policies that impact our communities nationwide,” said Commissioner Thorne. “While every county is unique, we share many of the same opportunities and challenges. I remain committed to protecting Fulton County’s priorities, including responsible economic development, strengthening our workforce, and planning for the infrastructure needs of the future. The decisions we make today will shape the quality of life for our residents for years to come.”
The National Association of Counties represents 3,069 counties, boroughs and parishes around the United States. NACo President Dunlap named Commissioner Thorne to these committees due to her “unwavering commitment and exemplary dedication.”
Bridget Thorne was elected in 2022 to serve as the Commissioner for District 1 which encompasses Johns Creek, and parts of Roswell, Alpharetta, and Sandy Springs. She is a Certified Commissioner through Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG).
