Happening in Fulton: Fulton County Board of Equalization Members Sworn In to Hear Property Tax Appeals

August 13, 2026

Fulton County Board of Equalization members were sworn in ahead of an estimated 30,000 property tax appeals this year. Hear more from Chief of Superior & Magistrate Courts Ché Alexander. It's important because if they're not sworn in, they're not able to hear the tax appeals for the citizens. These board members do an important job. I appreciate the board members more than they will ever know, and the citizens should appreciate the work that they do. We listen to the tax appeals, we are a neutral party. I know people just want to be heard, and they're here to listen and make impartial decisions. I'm really proud of the work that they do every day.
