Donald Wakeford is an experienced prosecutor and appellate specialist. Since originally joining the Appellate Unit of the District Attorney’s Office in 2016, Donald has litigated issues before the Superior Court at every stage of the trial process and was named Appellate Attorney of the Year in 2017. In his time with Fulton County, he has argued before the Supreme Court of Georgia and has been assigned to trial teams within the Major Case Division and the Public Integrity Unit. He returned to Fulton County in 2021 after serving for two years as an appellate prosecutor with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in Boston, Massachusetts. A native Georgian and “Double Dawg,” Donald graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2011.
