Advance Voting Workers

Thank you for your interest in joining the Fulton County Elections Team.

Fulton County offers voters a strong early voting program with dozens of Advance Voting (Early Voting) locations. Workers who support Advance Voting can commit to working an estimated four week period or work part-time in some positions. Advanced Voting work details include mandatory in-person training, advance voting site preparation, and reconciliation of documents after the advance voting election cycle.

During the Early Voting period, poll workers work approximately one hour prior and one to two hours after voting hours. For voting hours and locations for the advance voting period, please click here.

To be a poll worker you must:

  • Have a willingness to serve
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Read and write the English language
  • Be a Fulton County resident or receive a signed poll worker employment waiver from an adjacent county. Please click here for the adjacent counties map.

All poll workers positions are considered sequestered poll officers.

Advance Voting / Early Voting Poll Worker positions include the following:

Advance Voting Manager: Responsible for supervising and managing the operational activities of the advance voting location. Must be able to type 35 wpm and have moderate Microsoft Excel skills. Serves as a liaison to Elections Management.

Advance Voting Assistant Manager: Responsible for assisting the poll manager with supervising and managing the operational activities of the advance voting location. Must be able to type 35 wpm and have moderate Microsoft Excel skills.

Advance Voting Processing Clerk: Responsible for assisting and processing voters at an Advance Voting location and/or responsible for monitoring the voting scanner by instructing voters on how to insert the voted ballot on the scanner and to remind the voter to review the ballot before casting and/or assist the voter upon exiting the polling site

Advance Voting Line Monitor: Responsible for providing excellent customer service to voters by monitoring voter wait times and monitors the exterior of the polling location.

Advance Voting Technician: Must have an IT background. Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all equipment and assisting with requesting supplies at the assigned Advance Voting location.
