PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a 2023 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 12.80 percent.

All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at the Government Center Assembly Hall, 141 Pryor Street, Atlanta, GA 30303 on August 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. and 6 p.m., and via video conferencing accessible via the Fulton County website at www.fultoncountyga.gov, or accessible via Zoom at the following web addresses on August 2, 2023:

This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 9.2724 mills, an increase of 1.0524 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 8.22 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $500,000 is approximately $178.91 and the proposed tax increase for a non-homestead property with a fair market value of $375,000 is approximately $157.86.
