As with most IT Departments, cybersecurity is at the forefront of Cobb’s daily activities. Following a recent phishing attack, Mrs. Lemley spearheaded and received approval from the County’s Board of Commissioners for the creation of a dedicated cybersecurity team. This dedicated team will consist of a cybersecurity manager and five network security administrators whose focus will be enhancing our multi-layered cybersecurity defense to protect our county network, systems, and data.
As a result of the County’s cybersecurity improvements, the Center for Digital Government recently ranked Cobb County in the top 10 nationwide population category of 500,000 – 999,000 as a 2021 Digital Counties Survey Winner.
Mrs. Lemley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Kennesaw State University and is a University of Georgia, Carl Vinson Institute of Government EXCEL graduate. Additionally, she is a graduate of the InfoTech Leadership Enhancement Acceleration Program. Kimberly resides in Hiram, Georgia with her husband and their two boxers.
