Ron Coloma

Lt. Ron Coloma began his Law Enforcement career in Miami Florida with the Florida Department of corrections in 2004. He moved to Atlanta, Ga in 2008 and was hired by the East Point Police Department in 2008 where he served as a patrol officer until 2009. He would be hired by the Clayton County Police Dept in 2009 where he served in several divisions’ to include patrol division, gang investigations, school resource officer, community affairs, and public information officer.

In 2016, Lt. Coloma resigned from Clayton County Pd and entered the private sector where he was hired by Cryolife as a Human Tissue Quality Assurance inspector. In this capacity, Lt. Coloma ensured that products meet quality standards and regulations as directed by FDA (Food and Drug Administration) guidelines.

Lt. Coloma is a proud graduate of Florida Atlantic University and University of Phoenix where he would graduate with a bachelor’s in criminology, master’s in security administration, and a PhD in Organizational Leadership, his dissertation on the disproportional probation rates in the State of Georgia is published and available in scholarly journals.

In 2021, Lt. Coloma began his career with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office assigned to the Special victim’s division. In 2023, Lt. Coloma was transferred to the Anti-Corruption Unit and transferred to the Domestic Violence Unit where he would be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2025.

Lt. Coloma received the Special Victim’s superstar award in 2022. He is also the recipient of the Special victim’s division platinum award in 2024. In 2025, Lt. Coloma received the Brenda Baham platinum award.
